Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for a class?

Ensure that you have credits in your account first – if you do not have credits then go to our ‘buy’ page to purchase some. Once you have credits, go to our ‘Schedule’ page to browse our classes. Click ‘Sign-up’ and then be sure to select a bike to confirm your reservation!

How far in advance can i reserve a class?

Classes open up on Saturday at 12 pm for the following week. At that time, all classes for the next week are available for sign up. If you hold a priority membership, booking is available on Thursdays at 12pm for the following week.

What should i wear to my first class?

We suggest sporting a tee or tank on top and form-fitting pants or shorts on the bottom. Avoid long, loose-fitting pants which risk being tangled in the bike. For Trybe Train, we recommend wearing comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely, along with supportive training shoes (not running-only shoes). You may also wear socks to train if you are comfortable.

How should i prepare for my first TRYBE class?

  1. Be sure to eat a light snack and hydrate before class.

  2. Please arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in.

  3. We will provide you with a free shoe rental for clip-in if you purchase a 5 class pack or have an unlimited membership. All rides after that require a $2 shoe rental. If you have your own shoes that are SPD or Look Delta, you can bring those in free of charge.

  4. We are equipped with lockers to hold all of our belongings.

  5. Rest assured, our staff will help you on the bike and mat to make sure you are adjusted and seated appropriately.

  6. Meet your instructor! Let them know if you have any inquiries and they’ll give you some pointers on how to make the most out of your ride or train.

What can i expect during a class?

For Ride:

Each of our classes are 45 minutes long. Prepare to ride to the beat of the music while your instructor calls out various full-body drills to perform. Don’t worry- everything will be demonstrated beforehand! While we love to go fast, it is absolutely crucial to keep resistance on that wheel to prevent injury and keep your muscles and joints safe while on the bike. But most of all, HAVE FUN! Our studio is a judgement-free zone.

For Train:
Trybe Train is a 50-minute, coach-led strength class designed to help you feel confident, supported, and challenged at your own pace. Expect a structured full-body workout with clear guidance, options for all levels, and an encouraging atmosphere where you’re never expected to be perfect. Just to show up and move with us!

What is the cycling room like?

Our cycle room has 3 rows of bikes and 2 bikes on each side of the instructor (33 bikes total). For the majority of class, the lights will be off and the room will be dark. We like to play our music preeeettty loud – consider it a party on a bike! We will have ear plugs available for anyone who would like them.

The Train room offers great visibility with mirrored walls and intentional lighting to help you feel confident and focused throughout class. Each of the 11 mats is set up with a personal range of dumbbells from 5–30 lbs, with heavier weights available in the back of the room, plus resistance bands for added support or modifications.

Do you have showers?

We sure do! We have two!

What if im running late for a class?

We understand that this happens and want to accommodate you if possible. If you’re an experienced rider – call us to let us know you’re running late and we’ll do our best to wait for you. We will hold your bike/mat if the class is waitlisted if you call beforehand and arrive before class begins. We do not allow new members to enter the train or cycle room once class has started.

Should i bring my own water?

As with any workout, hydration is key! We have bottled water available for purchase if needed.

Do I have to be a certian age to take a class?

We do not permit anyone below the age of 15 to enroll in our classes. All minors need parental consent before taking a class. Our bikes accommodate heights of 4’10” to 6’10”.

Can i take a class if i am pregnant?

We recommend consulting your physician before registering to take a class while pregnant.

Do i need cycling shoes?

Yes! Cycling shoes are required for all of our riders. We have shoes available for you but you are encouraged to bring your own pair as well. Our bikes are compatible with both SPD and Look Delta clips.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel up to 12 hours before class without penalty.

Is this a franchise?

Nope! We are a local, female-owned small business! We are dedicated to providing exceptional service and top of the line equipment that you can’t find in your typical big box gym. We are thrilled to create our TRYBE in the Rio Grande Valley!
